AC Unito Adelaide is based in two suburbs, our original founding location of Dernancourt, at the Lyons Road Reserve and the Adelaide CBD, currently at Park 18 Wita Wirra Reserve but previously at Adelaide High School, Oval 3.
Our club was founded in Dernancourt in November of 2021 and became an official Incorporated, Not For Profit, amateur club in February 2022.
We started as a bunch of players without uniforms training between soccer grounds without any infrastructure such as goals however, we made it work in our determination to get this project up and running. 9 months later we became champions of our league and remained undefeated all season 13W-1D-0L.
AC Unito was created out of the vast number of ex-youth players from Federation Football (NPL, State League 1&2), Division 1 & 2 Amateurs and beyond.
Our mission is to uphold values of Community Integration, Passion and Discipline.
Our focus on these values is to ensure we better our local communities through investing in them. We dedicate our passion for the game in making it better for all players. To maintain the AC Unito winning mentality, passionate and disciplined approach both on and off the field to inspire the next generation of future Socceroos and Matildas.
The Italian word ‘Unito’ as part of our name because it means united in Italian.
It represents the clubs united sense of purpose, commitment and unity within our community. The sense of family and belonging we strive to embody in our club and players which also reflects our multicultural heritage.
The club is an a non-for profit organization with the sole focus in developing youth and uniting the community. We also assist refugee players by allowing them to play at lower costs, to ensure they can still play the beautiful game we love to play.
